Résumé :  En 2007, Naomi Klein publiait La stratégie du choc.  Un traumatisme collectif, une guerre, un coup d’État, une catastrophe naturelle, une attaque terroriste, nous plongent dans un état de choc.  Après le choc, nous devenons plus enclin-es à suivre les leaders qui prétendent nous protéger.  S’il est une personne à avoir compris très tôt ce phénomène, c’est Milton Friedman, Prix Nobel d’économie en 1976.  Friedman, soutenant l’ultralibéralisme, conseilla aux hommes politiques d’imposer immédiatement après une crise des réformes économiques douloureuses avant que les gens n’aient le temps de se ressaisir. Il qualifiait cette méthode de traitement de choc.  Naomi Klein la qualifie de stratégie du choc.  En utilisant des images d’archives, Michael Winterbottom et Mat Whitecross démontrent la puissance du texte de Naomi Klein et la nécessité de résister. J’ai un esprit relativement critique, qui préfère l’honnêteté intellectuelle d’abord et avant tout, et j’estime que ce documentaire rappelle certains événements ou faits de manière très honnêtes.

Des faits très récents qu’une partie de moi avait oubliés ou écartés un moment.

Notre histoire très récente, occidentale, nous implique dans des décisions d’une telle cruauté, que mon esprit a parfois besoin d’oublier.  Mais nous savons toutes et tous pourquoi il ne faut pas oublier ce que « nos » gouvernements occidentaux viennent de faire en nos noms.

TRIPOLI, Nov 5, 2011 (IPS) – “We’ve walked all the way here to tell everybody that we are being treated like dogs,” said 23-year old Hamuda Bubakar, among a couple of hundred black refugees protesting at Martyrs Square in Tripoli.  “I’d rather be killed here. I wouldn’t be the first, or the last.”

The refugees came to protest early this week from the barracks of Tarik Matar, a makeshift camp on the outskirts of Tripoli.  “We’ve already spent more than two months in those horrible barracks,” said Aisha who preferred not to give her full name.

A few days back, she said, “guerrilla fighters from Misrata (90 kilometres east of Tripoli) entered our place and took seven young guys with them.  We still know nothing about them.” Several women at the camp have been abducted and raped in recent weeks, she said.

“Raise your head, you’re a free Libyan”, the group chanted before a stage set up for the recent celebrations.  That’s the very slogan that became almost an anthem for the rebels who rose against Gaddafi. Read the article »»

Very good news report on the current situation after the fall of Kadhafi in Libya. The transitional representatives make very important statements that we find reassuring. This report interviews both these representatives and people on the streets.

Homes, churches, schools, and crops all destroyed as the post-coup government continues to side with wealthy plantation owners over the country’s organized farmers.
